Citizen Metals is a well-known exporting and manufacturing unit of Monel Alloy K500 Flanges, which is also known for its ease of fabrication compared to other super-alloys, and the fact that it is essentially nonmagnetic even at low temperatures. Monel K500 Slip On Flanges is a precipitation - hardenable nickel - copper alloy that combines the excellent corrosion resistance characteristic of Monel 400 with the added advantage of greater strength and hardness. A useful characteristic of Monel K500 Blind Flanges is that it is virtually nonmagnetic, even at quite low temperatures. Monel K500 Spectacle Blind Flanges has approximately three times the yield strength and double the tensile strength when compared with 400. The thermal processing used to effect precipitation of Monel K500 Socket Weld Flanges is commonly called age hardening or aging.
The basic composition of Monel K500 Weld Neck Flanges is similar to that of Monel 400 but the alloying additions make it age hardenable under controlled conditions of temperature and time. Typical industrial applications for Monel K500 Lap Joint Flanges include fasteners, springs and chains for marine service, pump and valve components for chemical processing facilities as well as blades and scrapers used in pulp and paper production. The increased properties of Monel K500 Ring Type Joint Flanges are obtained by adding aluminum and titanium to the nickel-copper base, and by heating under controlled conditions so that particles of (Ti, Al) are precipitated throughout the matrix.
